About Us

Our vision is to build the best contemporary tongue scraper that helps save the world's relationships one breath at a time (starting with ours) while helping children in need.

The Pandemic halted the world. This provided my husband and me with a rare opportunity to step back and re-evaluate our purpose, careers, relationships, and the connections between societal and economic progress.

Pre-Pandemic our crazy schedules had us working opposite of each other. It became clearer that we loved and longed to work with each other. We aspire to build a profit and purpose company with a team culture that is immersed in giving, cheekiness, fun, and adventure.

Gunkii incorporates my husband's Indian roots and the Ayurveda system of medicine while embracing both of our teaching backgrounds and our love of helping children. More importantly, we believe that profit is not a stand-alone benefit but rather a shared responsibility to serve those with fewer means.

As a result, a portion of every Gunkii sold supports a child born with a cleft lip or cleft palate via Project Smile .
